Hi. I'm still catching up. No, we don't still have our Christmas tree up, this is an old picture of me. Mommy (my publisher) is insisting we catch up with the past few months, so you'll have to deal with old news for a while. So sorry.Back in November, we traveled to Council Bluffs to see my family for Thanksgiving on Daddy's side. Mommy and Daddy were bracing themselves for a very long and noisy 6 hour trip, but I surprised them. I was good the whole way! I enjoyed watching my Sesame Street 25th Anniversary video over and over and over and over again. I did it to annoy Mommy and Daddy. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to mind and enjoyed singing along with me. Oh well.
We arrived on Tuesday before most of my family arrived. I enjoyed being the life of the party and stealing all the attention from everyone. I showed off my best skills such as running in circles, saying 'hi Grandma', 'hi Nana', 'hi Grandpa' and 'hi Beth'. I especially enjoyed opening all the cupboard doors and drawers in the kitchen. With no stupid child locks to hold me back I was in my glory! I think I drove Mommy and Daddy more nuts than usual. No worries, they'll be in a funny farm soon enough.
The rest of my family showed up on Thanksgiving day and the real fun began. I really liked watching my older cousins run around and play in the playroom. I did start to get crabby, though and decided I didn't need to eat anything for Thanksgiving dinner. I was secretly protesting about not having all the attention. Hmph. I guess I am a bit of an attention hog. What? There's nothing wrong with that.
My cousins Ryan and Ellen both celebrate their birthdays in November, so auntie Bonnie rallied up the nearby cowboys for a western themed birthday bash. They all sat around the 'campfire' singing songs and playing games.
I decided to sit back and protest. Mommy and Daddy were convinced I was crabby and cranky, but I was actually scared of being burned by the campfire. Duh. Fire burns.
After the campfire songs came the best part: CAKE! As you can see, we had lots of cake to eat. Ryan had a little trouble eating his whole cake so I gladly helped. Ellen did pretty well with her cake, I guess that's what happens once you turn 3. I can't wait to eat my whole cake when I turn 3. Mommy, never one to turn down a piece of cake (even if it's not gluten free) even had some. Daddy chose to stay far away from Mommy the rest of the evening. I don't know why.
Finally we ended the day with a trip to the spa. Here I am with my cousins Claire and Brayden. I really didn't know about this whole sharing the bathtub thing--I ended up getting kinda mad since I didn't have my 3 foot touch free circle encompassing me. I decided to end the bath rather quickly after this photo was taken. Note to self: shouting really loudly ends a bath swiftly. We had to leave the next day since Mommy had to work the weekend, but not before we were able to open our Christmas stockings! Santa was thoughtful and had our stockings filled to the brim since the whole family would not be together for Christmas.
I had a really good time visiting with my family and catching up with the cousins. Overall we decided (as a group, of course) that candy still trumps eggs, but not creamed peas. Ponder that one for a while...

AJ,
Don't you parents know the reason you didn't want to be a cowboy is because you are a ninja. There is no such thing as a ninja cowboy.
