Just Another Day

Sorry I've been a little shy in posting lately, I found a new hiding spot.  Can you see me?  I love to find new and entertaining ways to make myself look crazy.  Today I decided to sing my rendition of 'The Wheels on the Bus' at dinnertime, complete with hand movements.  I sing it as fast as I can to get the maximum laughs from Mommy and Daddy.  Oh, it's also a great way to divert their attention from my dislike of dinner.  Ha.

Rah rah, Alyssa!  She turned three a couple of weeks ago--she's so very young.  We went to her house for a fun party.  Did I mention it was Dora themed?

I enjoyed playing on the slide and throwing down as many toys as I could from the top

while others enjoyed the trampoline.  I really had no interest in breaking my neck.

I hear she wished for a Dora themed birthday party. I'm pretty sure her wish came true!  As I mentioned, I've been a little lax in publishing my blog.  My publisher, AKA: Mommy, keeps saying she's tired.  I really don't get it.  I mean, she is only busy growing my sibling.  How tiring can that be?

Here's Mommy from a couple of weeks ago, at 32 weeks pregnant.  She's really let herself go.  I think she needs to cut back on the gluten free beer, she's developed quite the gut.  Silly me, that's my baby sister in there!   Yep, I'm determined I will have a baby sister in another month.  Mommy and Daddy don't know what the gender is, but I sure do-- I have big brother ESP.  Whenever I see Mommy's belly and she asks where the baby is, I poke her belly button and shout out 'baby sister!' as loud as I can and run away.  It's awesome.  I think we should name my sister Dora.  Or maybe Abby Cadabby.  Wait, Grover has a nice ring to it...

Odds and Ends

Wow, it's been an exciting summer.  About a month ago, my neighbor friends across the street decided to give me a wonderful late birthday present:  construction on their house!  Oh, it's the greatest thing, EVER!  First, several big dump trucks stopped by with huge dumpsters.  Then, a BOBCAT showed up with a digger!  I was so excited I kept running from the big window to the door and back again.  Mommy thought it was a hoot and video taped my excitement.  Sheesh, doesn't she know this is the most exciting event in my life thus far?  Now, every morning, I wake up (in my big boy bed, ahem) and look out the window and promptly scream about the type of truck in front of their yard.  I need to make sure my parents know I'm awake, and they need to know I'm keeping watch on the neighborhood.  A vigilante's work is never complete, you know.

I've also discovered my love of Rudbeckia.  Yep, I'm getting technical here, I love these flowers.  Every night when we go outside to play, I promptly pull off 15-20 flowers to make a lovely bouquet.  Mommy says I need to work on my technique since I seem to be pulling out some of the plant, but I'm not worried.  I know nothing can kill Rudbeckia.  It will be back next year.  Everyone seems to think it's cute that I love my flowers.  I just roll my eyes at them.
Finally, a disgusting update from Cashy.  Look closely, you can see Daddy is holding what's left of a sweet little bunny rabbit (note the lovely entrails at the bottom of the photo).  Yep, Cashy the Wonder Dog caught this bunny in our backyard while wearing his helmet!  He was having problems with allergies again and had to wear his helmet for a while.  Apparently it works as a satellite, helping him hone in on the bunny's movement and making him work at the speed of light.  Oh, he ate its head.  Hmmm, head cheese.  Needless to say, he stayed outside overnight since experience has taught Mommy and Daddy ingesting brains cause Cashy intestinal problems, if you catch my drift.  Gross.

A Day Out With Thomas

Watch out, Daddy, it looks like Thomas is ready to plow us over! Oh, wait, I guess he's not that dangerous. Oh, now I remember. These photos are from our fun Day Out with Thomas a few weeks ago.
We drove out to the middle of nowhere (ie: Lakeville) and got in line to get on the Thomas train. I was very leery of this whole situation...why is Thomas in Lakeville? Why are we here? Why are Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Rasa, Uncle Donnie, Jakie, Lily and Baby Devin here, too? So many unanswered questions. Oh, look, an airplane! This IS a cool train. Turns out the train tracks are near a municipal airport. I honestly would rather watch the airplanes. Trains are kinda boring
Grandpa enjoyed telling me of the days of lore. I really wish I liked trains. I guess I just don't.
Here I did my best not to look grumpy. I think I succeeded.
Why is he so dang happy?
Cool, bubbles! Now this is what I'm talking about. They had a little fair after the train ride and I was was able to: play in bubbles;
make a killer Thomas Duplo train track (I am the master);
and pose with creepy Sir Topham Hat. Daddy wanted me to pose by myself, but I started to run away. This guy is not what I'd call 'Kid Friendly'.
In case you couldn't tell, I was quite crabby during this entire excursion. I had good reason, though, turns out my blood sugars were hovering around 400. My infusion set had kinked off and I wasn't getting any insulin. Mommy and Daddy quickly got me home and changed my set. I felt heaps better after that. Lots to learn, I tells ya.
Mommy still really hates Blogger.  A new blogsite still may be in the blog's future.  Stay tuned.
