Snow Fun Part Two!

The weather people were finally right--we had 13 inches of snow this past weekend. While I am not yet able to appreciate the significance of a snowfall, my new best friend, Cassius, sure is!

He leaps, he bounds--
He seems to have endless energy. Did he have a Red Bull this morning?

Whew, that was tiring. Time to go inside and sleep the standard 12 hour nap.

Snow Fun Part One!

With all the talk of an impending snow storm, my mom and dad decided to take some pictures of me in my snow suit. I think I look like a dork and I did voice my opinion about that. Mom and dad think I look very cute and also think these are good 'torture' pictures for when I am 16.

Did you know we have a dog? His name is Cassius and I just started to notice him. Apparently mom and dad have had him for nearly five years...why was I not informed of this? He is very friendly and he loves to try to lick my hands and face. This totally grosses out mom, so she is constantly shushing Cassius away from me and is washing my hands and face if Cassius touched me. I think she is being paranoid, plus she won't be able to keep me away from Cassius once I am mobile! I have a feeling Cassius and I are going to be great pals.

A Pair of Choppers

Hi again, everyone. There's so much going on around here I needed to post again today. Two weeks ago I started cutting my first two teeth on my bottom gums. Man, did that hurt! Mom and dad said I was ultra crabby and I had to take that yummy acetaminophen every four hours to alleviate the pain. Solid foods weren't going down too well as evidenced by my oatmeal mess. I also learned how to blow 'raspberries' when I eat--it's fun to spray mommy and daddy with food! I wouldn't agree to a photo shoot of my new teeth, but I am sure you will get to see them soon.

Cutting teeth really makes a baby tired. I was so tired here I couldn't keep my pacifier in my mouth.

Finally, a picture of me laid-back in my exersaucer. I love this thing! I can jump and jump and jump and throw all my toys off the edge and make mommy and daddy pick them up. Oh, the power of being seven months old! Mommy and daddy say I am feeling much better since my teeth have cut through the gums and I am happier than I have been in a while. All in all, I am a pretty laid-back kid (for now!).

Keep your comments coming, I like to see how you all like the blog. Catch up with you later...

Sitting tall...kinda

A few nights ago at bathtime, I decided to sit up on my own. I figured it was about time...I need to sit in order to make my way crawling.

Hmmm...looks like I am still learning. (Don't worry, dad caught me before I planted my cranium on the floor!)

Sunday, February 4, 2007: Part Two

After part 1, see the previous post, my dad and I hurried back to the house and changed to get ready for the big game. By big game, I mean of course the Super Bowl featuring the Chicago Bears. Having been told since birth that they are my favorite team, I consider it more than just a coincidence that they made the big game in my first chance to see it.

So here we are just before everything starts. My dad was pretty excited to watch and I was ready to stay up later.

So, now here we are about 14 seconds into the game. I don't know exactly what happened. We head downstairs to the TV room, my dad gets a call from my dziadek (Polish for Grandfather), the pretty pictures on the TV start, and my dad is celebrating. Suddenly my arms are flying up and someone is trying to get me to say 'Touchdown'. Everyone else was happy, so I was laughing too.

I was able to stay up until something called 'halftime'. Nobody was as excited anymore because I guess my team was down by 2 points.

As the game was on hold, I got a bath. Then I got a new outfit that for some reason caused my dad to become upset. My mom had dressed me in my nice little horsey jammies. Apparently my team was playing the ponies. After that, I'm told the ponies went on to a convincing win.

Lessons learned -

My birth has started a great time for the Chicago football team and my dad expects them to be in the big game every year now.

I get to stay up later during these big games. I hope they happen every month.

I apparently can control the winning team with my outfits. I will have to use this power wisely.

Sunday, February 4, 2007: Part One

Hi everyone, I am back after a short hiatus. I have been busy growing and kicking and have not had time to post lately. We had an exciting weekend a couple of weeks ago. First of all, my newest cousin, Lilija, was baptized. I warned her ahead of time about the cold water to be splashed on her head so she wouldn't cry.

Mommy and daddy are Lily's Godparents--sounds like a Divine job! (a little baby humor here)
Here's Lily, all baptized and happy.

Later we went to Maggiano's for a celebration. Mommy's family was there and they enjoyed a delicious dinner (I had milk, my favorite!). Auntie Rasa's friends from Chicago were also there and they loved to hold me--I didn't protest--I love being held and carried around. From left to right: Colleen holding Lily and Jessica holding me. Not pictured is Mark, he was camera shy that day. It sure was nice to see them, I hope they come back soon!

One for the Lurkers...

I am feeling a bit 'Puggy' today...

I am so funny, I even make myself laugh!
