A Tale of Two Computers

Hi. Wondering where the photos are today? Yeah, me too. I have a sad tale to tell you. Get the tissues out, you will be crying by the end.

Here is a tale of two computers. Computer number one, aka: Funkmaster, is a 2005 Dell and computer number two, aka: Meatwad, is a 2001 Dell. Our story started one beautiful fall evening last month when Funkmaster freaked out and showed Daddy the dreaded blue screen of death. Daddy struggled with the Microsoft website--cursing someone named Bill Gates, never heard of him--trying to figure out different ways to fix the computer, but Funkmaster would not accept treatment. Right now, Funkmaster is still in the computer ICU in critical condition. Mommy and Daddy weren't incredibly concerned about Funkmaster's condition since Meatwad was still up and running. Well, all that changed yesterday. Mommy tried booting up Meatwad and saw the black-screen-of-nothingness. Then it told her to restart using ctrl/alt/delete. She tried. Seven times. It didn't work. Mommy grudged up the stairs and told Daddy the sad, depressing news. Daddy said, and I quote, "NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Meatwad is now in critical condition with a dead hard drive. Here's the sad part. We have no internet access unless Daddy can bring his laptop home from work (which is what happened today) or Mommy can get a computer at the public library. Isn't that so archaic? No computer access? Sheesh.

Bottom line of the story, is my posts may be less colorful and picturesque until we can get Meatwad up and running again. I know. You won't know what to do with your time--how will you know if my visit to Santa goes well? How will you know about our most recent trip to Iowa (it was awesome, by the way)? I can still post, but you will just have to imagine how incredibly cute I am until the photos are back.

I heard Mommy and Daddy mention something about wanting an Apple Macintosh. I told them they are in the fruit drawer of the fridge. I guess I'm the only one who knows where the food is around here.

I guess there is a silver lining to my story...Daddy just finished backing up the entire computer on to the external hard drive last week. Thank you computer gods.
