AJ's Date with An Older Woman-told by Dad

What AJ did not mention in the previous post is that this was actually his first date. Alley (see the link to her website on the side panel) came over with her parents to watch the Gopher game as both me and Alley's dad Rob are Gopher alum.

The date started slow with Alley doing her own thing and AJ sleeping. After Cal had the game essentially won, AJ woke up and was alert. Alley then noticed AJ and took an interest in the little guy. This first picture shows them face-to-face for the first time. Rob and I are in the background holding them. You can tell Alley is interested as she reaches for AJ. AJ doesn't quite know what to do. That and the fact that he still has some trouble holding his head up.

Things went well during the photo op until, well, as you see in the next picture, Alley got upset and smacked AJ. AJ's pacifier went flying, the tears started, and Alley laughed. We're thinking about filing suit against Rob's family for this traumatizing event.

OK, actually, Alley was just reaching for AJ and AJ happened to spit out the pacifier at the same time. But it's a great photo. After photo time, both AJ and Alley had dinner and went to sleep. I think both enjoyed their first date and are looking forward to the next one - sans any boxing.
