Hi. I'm Alexander James and I've just arrived in the world. July 15, 2006 at 12:13 a.m. to be exact. This is my first photo taken just a few minutes after I was born. I was a bit fussy at this time. In my defense, it was really bright and cold out there. Plus, strange people were poking me.
It worked out OK though. I was soon reunited with my Mom and Dad and swaddled in warm blankies. They say I weighed 5 lbs. 14.5 ounces at birth and was 19 3/4 inches long. Not bad for being almost two weeks early and delivered by C-section (I was upside-down). Dad says I'm just tall and skinny like him.
Being my first post, I'll keep it short. But more photos and maybe video will be coming soon as I get bigger and start exploring the world. Go ahead and add your comments too.

Alex, I heard you're already better at basketball than your daddy. That's good because he's been slipping lately. Welcome to the world, little buddy. We've been waiting for you. Be good.
Grandma Helen and Grandpa Earl are really glad that you are here.
We love to hold you and help mom and dad.
Remember that you are supposed to eat and sleep so mom and dad can do the same.
