A Busy Month

Wow.  February and March have flown by.  Thank God!  That means spring is on its way and I can run around outside instead of driving Mom and Dad nuts with my indoor antics.  The dog poop fairy needs to visit our backyard.  Ahem, Daddy.
Baby sister and I continue our bonding.  She is really fun and loves to stare at me.  I know, I am the cat's meow, that's already been established.  Lately I've enjoyed taking her doll and pretending it's my baby by placing it in the exersaucer, the jumperoo and the activity gym.  Mommy thinks I need to work on my carrying technique since it's  apparently ill-advised to carry a baby by it's head.  Oh well.
Miss Kitty thinks she's a toy.  I guess in some ways she is, just a semi-crabby toy.  She's interactive:  she has claws.  I found that out the other day.  Interesting.  Who knew?
A sight for sore eyes:  the Roseviille crane truck!  They came through and trimmed our big maple tree.  Daddy says they must have been hurting for work since they trimmed all the trees in the neighborhood.  It was the highlight of my week.

Unless, of course, you count baby sister's first piggy back ride.

Wait a minute, I knew that wasn't the only good thing that happened that week.  The chipper truck showed up a day after the crane truck.  Oh how I love trucks.  Can't wait to rev up my engine for construction season!

The Foreman

Daddy and I went for a walk the other day and look what we discovered:  construction machinery!  Holy cannoli, this is the best day of my life (thus far).  I better put on my foreman hat and inspect the site.

While I'm excited to see the machinery, I can't help but wonder what happened to all the old people that lived in the nursing home here. Hopefully they had a permit to tear down the building and informed the old people to move out.

So far, so good.  I don't see any old people wandering aimlessly looking for their nursing home.  The machines also appear to be in good working order.

Hmm, just a pile of dirt.  Good.  No old people over there, either.  Whew.  I sure am glad, because those rollers can roll over people pretty fast, and old people have a tendency to be slow.  Look at Mommy and Daddy. They are old and slow.

Man, look how huge I am compared to this dinky digger!

Inspection passed.  Glad to see they thought of the old people before the machines tore down their nursing home.  I'll be sure to notify the authorities if I see any old people wandering aimlessly through the streets.

A Midseason Montage

I'm feeling antsy.  I'm ready for spring and construction season, therefore, my brain isn't working so well for blogging.  What to do?  Bring on the montage!  Now pretend there's some cheesy 1980's music from a John Hughes film.  I'll give you time to think up the tune.  Got it?  Okay here goes!
Dressin' up.
I remember the exersaucer!
Who is that goofball in the mirror?
Relaxing.
Helping baby sister with her paci.
Chillin' with baby sister.

Faster than a speeding Thomas

It was just an ordinary Sunday when daddy got me into the car and we were off. Little did I know that his plan was; go up hill, go down a hill, repeat. I've been told this is called “sledding”. I vaguely remember it from this summer, but that was on grass at G and G Ficek’s house. Hmm, this could be interesting.

Here I am being towed by Daddy to the hill. Mush, mush.
Now up the hill – faster daddy, I want to go down sometime today.
What! I have to walk up the hill. Was it something I said?
We did manage to go down the hill once, and then I got distracted by the shiny object called the slides.
The cold weather made then really slick. The tornado slide certainly turned me around.
Oh yeah, we’re here to sled. And sled we did. After about the third trip down, I was hooked. Despite the slow walk back up, daddy and I had a great time sledding. Your turn to pull me up the hill next momma.
