Won't Someone Please...

Stop the insanity! Come on, it's nearly May and this is what I wake up to on Saturday morning? Okay, it's not as bad as up north where they had 18 inches of snow, but I feel I still need to complain.

I'm forlorn for the days of spring and roses. Okay, there are no roses here yet, but we did have a few days of spring last week. Sigh. I know, I look tired--as if I'm losing sleep from no spring. I'm losing sleep for some other reason, and Mom and Dad cannot figure out why. Here's a brief synopsis of my nights for the past three weeks: bedtime at 8 pm, sleep well until 1130 ish, wake up screaming; do not go to sleep until Mama or Daddy come and pick me up; sleep until 2 or 3 and wake up screaming again; do not go to sleep until Mama or Daddy pick me up; sleep until 430 or 5, wake up screaming. Usually Daddy is so tired he will just sleep in the easy chair with me. Mama and Daddy had enough last week and Mama and I visited the nice pediatrician (yes, I said NICE!) to see if she could figure it out. She looked in my ears and said I have the ears of a pediatrician's dream (of course). Then she took this stick and stuck it in my mouth to look at my chompers. She thinks I am teething--again--and that's why I'm grumpy. Gee whiz. Can't a kid catch a break? Secretly, I just like cuddling with Mama and Daddy. They don't need sleep.

When I'm not screaming during the night, I've been pretty darn cute during the day. Mama and Daddy think I'm delrious from lack of sleep, that's why I'm so darn goofy. My latest obsession is the laundry basket. I LOVE climbing in and out, falling on my head and starting over.

Oh, and it's a great place to cuddle up with Mr. Blankie and a few good books. I highly recommend it!

The Week's Recap--Lots O' Pictures

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been so lax in my blogging this week, my publisher (AKA: Mommy) has been busy. So let's get caught up on the happenings around here. First off, I finally learned how to climb! It's the best thing ever. I started climbing the kitchen chairs today, much to Mommy's dismay.

On Sunday we traveled north to Blaine for Grandpa T's birthday celebration at the Red Lobster, or the Lob as we call it here in Rose Ville. It was fun to see everyone and celebrate a milk toast with Gramps.

Monday, Aunties Beth and Brandy traveled over the river and through the woods to our house for a visit. They were shocked to discover the temperature actually does get above 30 degrees occasionally. Beth had a presentation at 3M during the day on Tuesday and Brandy came up to see me, of course. We had lots of fun. I started off the festivities with a giggle fest during dinner.

Now, when I say giggle fest, I mean giggle fest. No one knows exactly what I was laughing at, but during dinner I looked out window and just started laughing hysterically. I laughed so hard I was crying! That's the best reason to cry, if I ever had to. I highly recommend a giggle fest.

After the giggle fest and dinner, we walked three blocks to my favorite neighborhood park. I had so much fun! Beth and Brandy showed me the slides and man, I'm addicted. First I had to go down the slide with someone, but I soon figured out how to do it on my own.

This never gets old.

Do you dare me? Here I go!

The excitement was contagious. Here's Mommy getting in on the action.

We were having tons of fun on the slides until someone thought we should try the swings. One word: BORING.

Here I am posing with Aunties Beth and Brandy, Daddy and some random kid running next to us. Mommy opted to stay out of the photo. I don't know why. Oh yeah, she's always behind the camera. Likely excuse, Mommy!

Feline Fine

Yes, Miss Kitty, I know how much you adore me. You are always hanging out where ever I may be.

Here, let me pet you. I promise I won't pull your fur--not this time, anyway. Miss Kitty actually tolerates me pretty well. Mommy and Daddy are very impressed. She rubs up against me and has never swatted or "yelled" at me (ie: hissed). We are fast friends. Now how can I continue to nurture our newfound friendship?

What's that Mommy? Read a story to Miss Kitty? That's quite possibly the stupidist thing I've ever heard.

Seems Miss Kitty likes my version of the A to Z book. She didn't even run away with my noisy squeals or me shouting my favorite letter, "DDDDDDDD". I think I am the Animal Whisperer. Cashy and I are starting to hang out a little and he is more gentle with me. He still goes crazy when I'm outside with him, so Mom and Dad will have to stay near me this summer. But, I think we'll have fun!

A Morning at Como Park

Hi! A couple of weeks ago, Mommy, Grandma T, Auntie Rasa, Jakie, Lily and I ventured over to Como Park. It sure is a cool place. There's lots of plants and animals to see. Here I am with Grandma and Jakie. The picture is blurry because it was so humid in the building. Mommy said the plants are tropical and need the moisture. Hello, hasn't anyone heard of air conditioning?

Whew. It sure is good to get out of the oven. Now it's on to the animals. Here's Rasa and Lily chillin' while Jakie, Grandma and I look at the snake.

Alright, enough of the snake. Let's move on to the best animal. . .the two toed sloth! Here's a picture of his tree. He's really cool to see, I can't wait for you to meet him.

What?! Where is the sloth, on vacation? This is an outrage. I only agreed to come here so I could see the sloth.

There's the nearest exit. Let's blow this joint.

Darn it. I'm still not as fast as Mama. I think that will change, soon. Here's the best picture Mama could get of us all. I think she knew we were all secretly protesting the sloth's vacation. Hmmph. Stupid sloth.
