Rock and Roll

Watch out world, here I come! This week I discovered the wonderful world of rolling. Mom and dad used to be able to put me on the floor and I wouldn't go anywhere--not any more. I love rolling and rolling and rolling, but I prefer to roll to the left. Rolling to the right just doesn't suit me right now. Mom and dad tried to get some pictures of me in action (actually dad had to hold on to me while mom took the photos, I am that quick--remember, I am Stealth Baby!).

These photos are deceiving, they make it look like I enjoy rolling to the right, but I am just fooling you. I just wanted to escape the photo session and was willing to take any route I could...
Next step, CRAWLING!

Quick Update

Hi everyone, just wanted to keep you posted on my solid food adventures. This week mommy made some neon green squished peas and they are my favorite so far. I continue to eat rice cereal in the morning but have noticed the iron in the cereal makes me somewhat 'constipated'. I was not a happy camper for several days, grunting to no avail. Mommy called the pediatrician and I started drinking small amounts of pear juice--that sure did the trick! I was sure to poo when I knew daddy would have to change the diaper, at 4:30 in the morning. (Don't worry, I also got mommy later in the day). Ahh, I feel SO much better! Tonight I tried squished pears and did not care for them so much. Maybe tomorrow I will tolerate them better.
Enjoy the photos of me hamming it up for the camera...catch up with you later.

BEEFCAKE!

News flash: I had my 6 month checkup this week and I now know why I have felt so pudgy lately...I gained 4 pounds in 2 months! Don't get me wrong, I still am not the Michelin tire baby, but I am starting to put some extra fat on my arms and legs. Dad calls my thighs 'tree trunks'. Hmm, wonder if that comment will harm my self esteem in the future...I digress. My weight is 14 pounds 11 ounces (12th percentile, up from 5th two months ago) and my height is 26.75 inches (75th percentile, up about 10 points from 2 months ago). The doctor wanted to know what my parents were doing differently to cause such a wonderful gain--that's a dumb question--I am the one who decides how much to eat, and I have had a voracious appetite lately (see previous post in case you need a reminder). Other than a few painful shots, the rest of the visit went well.
I am, however, still having some issues with spit-up as evidenced by this awful photo my mommy shot of me. Today I wasn't feeling so well and had to take a break from the rice cereal. I hope to start a new veggie called 'peas' this week. I bet I will love them for life.

A Rice Cereal Facial

Wow! What an exciting day. Did you know there is other food available besides milk? Did you know you can eat it WITHOUT a bottle? I just discovered this today!

Mom and dad put me in this gigantic chair, don't worry, I am working on filling it out with my enormous, linebacker-like frame.

Then mom started feeding me rice cereal. I tried to help by putting my fingers in my mouth after she fed me a spoonful, but that was not desirable, according to mom. FYI: feet aren't supposed to go in the mouth when trying to eat cereal either.
I must say, it really is quite tasty! I am kinda messy, but I did actually get some in my tummy (and on the floor, and on my feet, and on my head etc).

Here I am relaxing after my gourmet meal. Can't wait for the next installment tomorrow morning...I wonder what will be for breakfast!

Rice cereal, AJ.
