What? Another Photo Shoot?

So you all know I celebrated my 02 birthday a month ago. What you didn't know is all the strife I went through that day. Two words: Picture Day. Blech.

Ugh. I thought we did this enough last year. I thought I wouldn't be tortured with this AGAIN. Thanks a lot, Mommy. Okay. Let's get on with it. I'm gonna give this 'green' photographer a run for her money!
What?!?! An Elmo doll? That's the best you can do? Puh-lease. Next.

Dooo doooo doooo. I sure am bored. Now she pulled out some stupid cowboy doll. What, no noisy toys? WHATEVER!

Never fear, Mommy to the rescue. She brought this and I laughed hysterically exactly two times. Enough for a couple of quick shots.

Hey, that's some good, rockin' music.

Did I mention I made the photographer and Mommy head-bang to the music? Yup, that's the only way I would laugh.

Oh, the power of a 02 year old. This new found power could do me some good (or evil).
Mommy also brought along a wonderful book. I highly recommend it, a riveting read.

This is every one's favorite shot. I'm sitting on a horse because it's the only way they could get me to stay in one place for longer than 10 seconds. I think the photographer was happy to see me go. I can't wait to go back for Christmas photos!

By the way, I saw the doctor for my 02 year visit. I only had one shot (thank God) and I had all my vital statistics recorded. I know you all have been waiting with baited breath for this--drum roll please:

Weight: 28 pounds 7 ounces--70th percentile
Height: 37 1/2 inches--97th percentile! Mommy and Daddy did some quick math and figure I will be around six foot three or four when I'm all grown up. Daddy's still hoping for six foot eight. I don't know if that will happen.

I'm still not talking a whole lot and the doctor said the conservative route is to have me see a Speech Therapist for an evaluation. I understand most everything Mommy and Daddy say and I like pointing to what I want. I just don't have the need to talk: Mommy and Daddy get me what I want! They are such wonderful parents...or maybe I'm just sneaky and know how to get what I want. I'll let you decide. . .

It's a Bird, It's a Plane

Jakie and Lily came over for a visit the other day. We had fun playing in the playroom, upstairs and everywhere inbetween. We even had corndogs for lunch--yum-yum. Mommy made the mistake of showing Jakie and Lily that shaking their heads 'no' makes me laugh my head off (not literally--gross). At one point we were all shaking our heads 'no' and laughing, all while eating our corndogs! I still don't get why Mommy suggested we stop. Something about not wanting to perform the Heimlich manuever on all of us. Whatever that is.

Anyway, wonder why I'm not in this photo?

'Cuz I'm too busy saving the world, of course!

Look how incredibly handsome I am. I'm Super AJ, savior of all children forced to eat broccoli and take naps. Enemy of parents everywhere. Oh, and of all evil bears and monkeys, too. Don't ask. Just trust me on that one.

Sorry, can't talk anymore. I must be off on my next adventure. Mama, I trust you'll tell Lil and Jakie why I had to leave abruptly. A super hero's job is never done.

Joe's 5 Year Birthday Bash

A couple of weekends ago, cousin Joe celebrated his 5th birthday. He is exactly 2 years and 360 days older than me. You do the math.

Anyway, we find out when we got there it was another pool party.

I just don't do pools so well. See my swim trunks? They're size 4T, borrowed from a certain cousin of mine. Joe was amazed to find out I was wearing the exact swim trunks he used to wear. Strange coincidence?

While all the big kids, including Joe, were busy doing this, I decided to do other things like:

1. Pose for a photo with Mommy. Like her new haircut? I hardly recognized her when she walked in the door with her hair chopped off. I walked over and had to stare at her, touch her hair and give her a big kiss before I was sure she was my Mommy. Secret disguise, I tell ya.

2. Pose for a photo with Grandpa (Deepa). I didn't last long sitting still. There was too much other stuff to do.

3. Alyssa and I parallel-played in the sandbox. Aahh, nothing like the gritty feeling of sand in the diaper.

But, none of that compared to chasing a kitty. Quite the cute little kitty, but it didn't let my pet him like my Miss Kitty does. Hmm. I also wonder if some of those rocks I found in the sand box were actually kitty turds. I didn't eat any. Chalk that one up to experience. (Just kidding, of course)

Then we went inside to open presents and eat lots and lots of hot dogs, English muffin pizzas and cake, in that order.

Lil had a blast playing with the dolls. She liked feeding them and covering them up with a blanket. Sometimes I just don't understand girls. Who wants to play with dolls?

Boys know what's fun...body armor!

A Corny Green Day

Why didn't anyone tell me corn on the cob is the best thing on earth? Sure is better than this corndog thing they are trying to get me to eat. Yuck. The only problem with corn on the cob is getting it off the cob. I like chewing the ends, eating the cob itself. A little roughage is good for the colon.

Apparently this is not the desireable way to consume corn on the cob (COTC). Daddy, in his infinite wisdom, taught me the ways of COTC. I wish we had it everyday because this is the only time I'm allowed to play with my food. Hmph.

On a side note, notice me sitting in the big kid chair? I'm pretty good at it. Although lately I've digressed to the highchair. Seems that escaping during dinner is not good manners. Whatever. I do what I want.

Wow. What a wonderful meal. Now, it's time to check out my music video. Yup, I'm a star. I love dancing lately and have some pretty stellar, street-wise moves. My music selection has changed from 'Twinkle Twinkle' to a bit more punky--Green Day's J.A.R. to be exact. I really only like the fast songs, the ones I can head-bang to. Mommy and Daddy get a big kick out of this. I think they're just happy I cry when I hear country music. Doesn't everyone? It's awful!
