Nope, it's just me. Didn't you know I could play the piano? I have a natural talent for it.
Excuse me, I have to turn the page.
A site to see photos, videos, musings, etc. of little Alexander James and anything else we think is cool. The goal is an update at least once a week. If there's more excitement and time, we'll put in more. It's your site, AJ, so smile and 'Say Cheese.'
Wednesday: Day three. I have no photos because the day consisted of me sleeping in late and Daddy and Great Nana playing the stakes at church bingo. I guess Great Nana was the big winner--she found one dollar in the church parking lot. What a lucky gal.
Ellen was fascinated by my male part, asking 'what's that'...I didn't have an answer. I just know that sometimes water comes out of it and the stream is fun to play in. It's also fun to pee on Mommy and Daddy in my spare time.
I had a fun time watching how well Ellen has mastered the art of squirreliness in the bathtub. This was one of my first experiences in the big tub (Mommy and Daddy were giving me a bath in a storage bin--how embarrassing), so I had a lot to learn.
After a thrilling game of Bathsketball (I barely won, by the way), we decided it was time to exit the bath and move on to other toys, ie: everything around the house we are not supposed to get in to. It sure was fun to catch up with Ellen. I am sure the next time I see her I will be able to run laps around the house with her. It is hard to keep up with her while I am still crawling...she is FAST!
Daddy brought Grandma and Grandpa F to the airport very early on 7-9-07. They were enroute to Minneapolis then to Vancouver to begin their voyage to Alaska! I have never been there, but I have heard it is nice. My aunties and uncles along with Mommy and Daddy chipped in to send them on the cruise to celebrate their 40th anniversary. So Mommy, Daddy and I decided to come on down to Iowa and spend some quality time with Great Nana.
Next, Great Nana decided to try her hand at snake charming. With me being the snake, of course. She was trying her darndest to get me to stand for her, but I just really didn't feel like it. Sorry, Great Nana. You do make me laugh, though!
On 7-10 we ventured to Omaha to the Henry Doorly Zoo. If you have never been there, it is worth the trip. Great Nana decided to stay home and guard the house, she's had enough of zoos. While there we saw all kinds of cool animals. This Polar bear was lamenting the loss of his natural habitat in the Arctic and decided swimming would help his anxiety. I've heard Polar bears really don't like to swim, so he must have been really depressed.
Next on to the petting zoo. There really weren't that many animals out this day, just the goats. Daddy ventured in there with me and Mommy continued to be a chicken and stayed out and took photos. Something about being a germaphobe. She really needs to get over that.
Lastly, this is the Koi fish pond. The Monkeys were having a fun time trying to catch the food other people were throwing in the pond. See the one in the lower right hand corner? He was hanging by his tail, upside down to catch food. They sure are smart!

Sheesh.

Yes, I know I'm messy. Do you have to get a photo of EVERYTHING? I've had enough of this first birthday thing. Please, give me a bath. Can't you see I am messy and very embarrased about it?
I fooled you! I actually love being messy and the cake was fun to play with. I don't really like eating chocolate cake, but it is a fun art medium. Overall, my birthday was very enjoyable. I hope to do this again in the near future, maybe, say another year or so? Sounds good to me, let's plan on it. I promise, next year I will be more excited about chocolate cake.
