It's All Relative

It's been fun for me to hang out with some of my cousins. Here I am sitting with my bud, Jakey. He is 14 months older than me, but I think we are going to be great pals (trouble makers) in the coming years.

Jakey is very helpful, as you can tell. His main concern nowadays is making sure everyone has a 'smacky' (AKA: pacifier). Here he is assisting me with mine.

I was also able to catch up with some other cousins, Joe and Alyssa. Joe is very photogenic--Alyssa and I couldn't care less about the photo. We just were not in the photo taking mood.

The Latest Craze

My newest love is frozen bananas. Mom cuts up bananas and sticks them in the freezer then puts a chunk in this mesh thing for me to chew on. I am pretty good at chomping on the nanner 'til it is gone. Feels pretty good on my gums!

I continue my love of fruits and veggies. So far, I have tried peas, pears, applesauce, nectarines, squash, carrots, zucchini, peaches, yams, bananas and oatmeal. Mom and dad say I am a pretty good eater and really haven't rejected any foods yet. We'll see how long that lasts!

New Research Findings

Hi everyone. I hope you all are doing well, especially with the nice weather outside. I have been busy discovering the world around me, and have made a few observations. First of all, my thumb tastes pretty good. I have decided it is an acceptable substitute for my pacifier in the event of a sucking emergency. I still do prefer my pacifer, however.

Secondly, I have continued to research this item called the 'Cat'. This photo documents my recent research into the ongoing question, "How long will Miss Kitty continue to sit next to me when I pull her fur or scream at the top of my lungs?". So far, the record time is approximately 3.1 seconds. The findings are encouraging--last week the time was only 1.9 seconds.
Lastly, a photo of my new favorite activity: sitting on daddy or mommy's shoulders. I love to pull on hair and giggle when sitting up high. If you look closely (click on the photo for a closeup), you can see a string of drool leaving my mouth, landing on daddy's hair. Research has shown that baby drool is very good for the scalp. I am just trying to help out my parents, I am concerned for their well-being. My diligent research efforts will continue. Be on the lookout for further reports. Peace out.

Ode to the Baby Whisperers

Grandma, oh grandma,

Baby Whisperer you are.

I see you, I smile.

You teach me new things.

Who knew snorting like a pig

would make me laugh so?
I cry, you hold me.

Instantly I feel better.

It's grandma (great-Nana) magic!
