Must Have Been the Turkey

Just a few photos to let you know of a miraculous event that happened recently. As you can tell, my mommy decided to take a photo of me lying next to two diapers. Apparently I am growing because I do not fit in newborn size diapers any longer and am finally fitting in a size one! Also, as you can see, my outfit does not fit me very well--I am very long. I am now wearing size 6 month clothing, not for the width, of course. I still don't understand why my parents want me to grow up so fast, don't they want me to stay little forever?

Here's a closeup of me talking about the day's events.

Finally a photo of me in a tracksuit I borrowed from my cousin, Jakey. Don't I look ready to run?

Turkey Day Fun

Hi everyone, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I sure did! I made my first trip to Council Bluffs to see my dad's family. The ride in the car was long, but I slept a lot of the time away. We had lots of fun. This first picture shows me with my cousins. From left to right: Jocelyn holding baby Claire, Brayden massaging Ellen's head, and Zachary holding me. They had to take this picture quickly as us babies tend to get fussy quickly.

This picture is of cousin Ellen waiting for her first birthday cake. She turned one year old on Thanksgiving day and ate a big piece of cake! She didn't even make a mess, I think she should have smeared some green frosting in her hair.

Here is me with cousin Claire. She is just 3 weeks younger than me. She is a very calm baby and enjoys being cuddled. Not me, I am more interested in looking around than being cuddled! We both enjoyed lying on the ground kicking our legs. Oh, what fun.

Finally, one last picture of me smiling and laughing under my activity gym. I really get a kick out of the blinking lights and mozart music.

Hi! Here's a picture of me playing in the leaves. I don't really understand what is so fun about getting dirty, but maybe someday I will.

This next one shows my favorite thing to do lately: put my fingers in my mouth. Often times I try to shove both hands in my mouth at the same time. That is a difficult task to accomplish. I will succeed someday!

PS: Today I weighed 10 pounds 11.5 ounces. Not a stellar weight gain, but a gain nonetheless. I am 4th percent on weight, 65th percent in height and 35th percent in head circumference. Well on my way to 6 foot 8, 250 pounds!

AJ's first Halloween party!

Yes, it's been a long hiatus. Sorry - we had some internet issues over here and went off-line for about a week. It's amazing how much spam an e-mail account can pick up in a few short days.

Bottom line, we're back and with new and improved speed - DSL me boy. Hooray for faster connection speeds. Of course, that led to the multiple photos for this report. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to download for those still with dial-up.

The first photo shows AJ in his Halloween costume. He's a wild leopard posed to take down his first kill. Grrrr.

Photo #2 shows all the kids at the party we attended. Look at all the other animals. Look at AJ eye them with the cool patience of big cat. He was really acting the part. For more photos of the party, check out Rob & Beth's site through the link in the side bar.

The final three photos are the after-party at home. AJ was done with his costume at this point and retired into his festive onesie and pants. We think he enjoyed it. Maybe next year he will want to get candy.
